In an exclusive interview with TIME, conducted via Skype from an undisclosed location, WikiLeaks head — and Person of the Year contender (place your votes) — Julian Assange said that America’s secretary of state should resign over cablegate. Video of the exchange after the jump.

In a revealing 36-minute conversation – the full audio will soon be available on TIME.com – Assange said Hillary Clinton “should resign, if it can be shown that she was responsible for ordering U.S. diplomatic figures to engage in espionage in the United Nations, in violation of the international covenants to which the U.S. has signed up. Yes, she should resign over that.”

He also discussed how many secrets documents are yet to come in the ongoing diplomatic cable scandal.

The TIME interview was conducted the same day that Forbes ran with a story about WikiLeaks planning to shift its attention next to Wall Street.
