A moment on the lips, a lifetime paying it off.

Eric Renaud is the senior sommelier at Bern’s Steakhouse in Tampa. Recently, he found a rare bottle of wine in the restaurant’s cellar, and he’s decided that it should go up for sale. The wine in question is a double magnum 1947 bottle of Chateau Latour: “We’re going to sell that bottle for $30,000,” Renaud said, before grandly declaring, “You’re drinking history. You’re drinking something that’s no longer going to be available ever again.”

Renaud believes that the rare find has been perfectly stored in the cellar since the 1960s and will be available to purchase in the new year. “I just came across a bottle that was on its side, in the wrong direction, in the wrong spot,” he explained to Bay News 9. “I looked at it and thought, oh my God, this is amazing.”

Or, to look at it another way, gulp.
