Kate Middleton isn’t just a future Princess—she’s a magazine cover girl, too.

The 28-year-old British beauty appears on the February 2011 cover of Tatler magazine. And while the glossy is a UK publication, it was the work of American pop artist Andy Warhol that inspired the vibrant cover. Four colorful versions of a smiling Kate Middleton—rendered in the same aesthetic as Warhol’s iconic 1962 “Four Marilyns” piece—make up the magazine cover, which is being billed as a special collectors’ issue.

The cover portrayal of the Princess-to-be stands in stark contrast to the Royal Mint’s commemorative coin released last month. That design, which featured both her and William, showed a chubby and somewhat tired-looking Kate gazing at her Prince. So while the coin generated less than positive buzz, we have a feeling this Tatler cover will garner much more praise. (via Tatler)
