Scorpio and Sagittarius need to make room for their new celestial neighbor, Ophiuchus

Sorry Scorpios, you’ve just been demoted.

That’s right, even the new guy, Ophiucus, is more popular than you. Known for being extremely critical and direct to the point of hurtful, Scorpio now only rules the sky for a measly six days of the calendar year.

According to new calculations by astronomers at the Minnesota Planetarium Society, Scorpio has been almost completely replaced by Ophiuchus’s 19 days of annual astrological prominence.

Yes, look at the new calendar and you’ll find that Scorpios are now only those born between Nov. 23 and 29. As for the Ophiuchus regime, it spans Nov. 29 through Dec. 17. See the full calendar here.

What was in the stars for the Scorpio’s last day of prominence? “Your rare combination of wild energy and emotional security can make for some interesting times today.”

It may take just that to survive as a Scorpio in this harsh, new climate.

Unfortunately for new Ophiuchi, you’re going to be hard pressed to find your daily horoscopes for a while. That may be the one thing Scorpios still hold over you.
