And NewsFeed‘s Most-Surprised-By-Winning-His-Award award goes to, Trent Reznor.

The musician, who made an appearance in TIME’s most influential Americans in 1997, found fame in 1989 with the release of Nine Inch Nails’ debut album, Pretty Hate Machine. The album was much darker even than the moody interludes and undertones of The Social Network‘s soundtrack, which, according to MTV, is “not your typical film score.”

Reznor has also confirmed that he will be scoring the soundtrack for the forthcoming Hollywood adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. NewsFeed can’t wait.
