We know it happens to thousands of members every month — even French President Nicolas Sarkozy was a victim. We just didn’t expect it to happen to the top dog himself.

The social networking anarchist behind the hack updated the Facebook CEO’s status with: “Let the hacking begin: If Facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn’t Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a ‘social business’ the way Nobel Price winner Muhammad Yunus described it? http://bit.ly/fs6rT3 What do you think? #hackercup2011.”

Our colleagues over at Techland have dubbed the post the “world’s most mundane rant.” Read Techland’s full report.

To add insult to injury for Zuckerberg, within three minutes of the status update the post had gained over 1,800 ‘likes’ and 500 comments.

We’re not suggesting that Zuckerberg was using a password as simple as “EASY123,” but being the man who wrote the original codes and plays the role of omnipotent Facebook deity, the least we would have expected was his own profile to be un-hackable. (Via Business Insider.)
