Get to know these dog breeds while they’re still underground and hip.
The American Kennel Club announced its addition of three breeds to its repertoire: the Entlebucher Mountain Dog, the Norwegian Lundehund, and the Xoloitcuiltli.
A native of Switzerland, the Entlebucher Mountain Dog is great at competitive sports and is loyal to and protective of its family. Watch Entlebucher puppies being adorable:

Norwegian Lundehunds have six toes on each paw and can tip their heads backwards until they touch their backs. Watch a Lundehund frolic:

The Xoloitzcuintli (pronounced “show-low-eats-queen-tlee”), a native of Mexico and Central America, is quite rare and was seen as a healer in ancient times. Watch a Xoloitzcuintli get musical:
