Quick, somebody get this kid an NBA deal – or perhaps a Harlem Globetrotters contract.

As the third quarter buzzer sounded, Marvin Le Fridge grabbed the basketball off the opposing rim and gave it a heave-ho toward his team’s basket. A 90-foot shot – with no time to aim – almost no chance, right? But the ball glided through the hoop for the single greatest shot the high-school junior could ever make.

The insane basket helped propel the Corcoran (Calif.) Panthers past the Strathmore Spartans in a 69-52 victory.  It wasn’t a tie breaker or a game winner, but nonetheless it’s an undeniably sweet shot. “At first, I was just like in shock, but then I took a couple steps and started jumping around.” Le Fridge told a local reporter.

And fortunately, the glory of the Hail Mary shot was captured on tape by a fan. Because without video evidence, no one will believe Le Fridge when he says he made a 90-foot shot. It’s a video that takes a few replays to sink in. How is a shot like that possible?

To NewsFeed, the basket seems like it’s worth more than the three meager points Le Fridge and the Panthers were awarded.
