Hipsters, take note–there’s nothing more ironic than Thom Yorke whipping his hair back and forth.
After last week’s flurry of Radiohead-induced press over their new album, The King of Limbs, and the debut of their first music video for “Lotus Flower,” it was only natural that the media frenzy needed an accompanying Tumblr meme.

Well, look no further than the soon-to-be-ubiquitous Dancing Thom. The Radiohead lead singer has always been known for his odd onstage antics, and finally, the “Lotus Flower” video shows them in their full glory. The video, which features a black and white, bowler hat-laden Thom doing his thing for five minutes straight, is perfect fodder for a meme in the making (perhaps the next Sad Keanu, anyone?).

And oh, what a delight it is to watch Thom kick it, shake it and, er, convulse to the likes of MC Hammer and Lady Gaga. He even auditions for Black Swan! Judging by the blog’s quick spurt in popularity, there isn’t a kind of dance that Thom can’t do. You’ll see what we mean in the video below.
