The Facebook Breakup Notifier app was banned after 3.6 million inquisitive people signed up to be able to track relationship statuses of just about any of their friends.

Facebook decided to ban the app, saying that the large number of calls to the company’s interface commenced the beginning of the end of the relationship. Dan Loewenherz originally created the app so that users receive an e-mail whenever the relationship status of chosen friends change.

Unfortunately, it’s time to go back to the old way now of stalk… er, checking up on your friend. According to Technolog, Facebook has not responded personally to Loewenherz regarding the banned app. It’s complicated.
