One of the pros of being famous is that you get star treatment when something bad happens.
After an 8.9-magnitude earthquake struck Japan Friday, Hawaii and the North American west coast geared up for the resulting tsunami.

For Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and the rest of the Twilight series’ cast, the impending waves meant evacuating the Vancouver Island, British Columbia beach where they had been shooting Breaking Dawn. There set was on the furthest westerly part of the island, which contains a long stretch of open beach seen in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Earlier Friday morning, Jimmy Kimmel, host of Jimmy Kimmel Live thought he would be evacuated from his Hawaiian vacation, tweeting, “we are evacuating the island. dogspeed.” Later Friday afternoon, the talk show host updated his followers, “We are back, officially ‘unevacuated.’ Thanks for your kind words. It was scary. Best wishes to our friends in Japan and all affected.”
