With BP’s one-year anniversary of the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster nearly upon us, that can only mean one thing. The time is ripe for a Hollywood adaptation. (via Ecocentric)
But forget corporate negligence or severe environmental damage (they don’t sell movies, just grab headlines). Instead, filmmakers have made sure the central theme is good old-fashioned Hollywood “heroism.” How appropriate, if you try to forget this was one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history.
