On the latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent, the 35-year-old drama teacher’s dramatic medley of “Old Macdonald”, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, “Humpty Dumpty”, “If You’re Happy and You Know it Clap Your Hands” dusts the cobwebs off classic nursery rhymes and saves the ears of grown ups irritated by the normally far too perky jingles.

In the space of a single song, Reid unleashes a roller-coaster of emotions. There’s a hint of sadness and depth to old MacDonald, a hint of yearning and hope to that twinkling star, and Humpty Dumpty — well, we know how that one goes – pure epic tragedy. And of course, that “Happy and You Know It”  just makes us really want to show our appreciation.

The judges couldn’t agree more. With a three yes pass, this guy’s on to the next round. We can’t wait to see what he thinks of next.
