It would seem that Congressman Anthony Weiner is no stranger to female attention. As it turns out, a decade and a half ago, Cosmopolitan magazine dubbed Weiner one of their honored “101 Gorgeous Real-Life Bachelors.”
Included in Cosmo’s 1996 “All About Men” issue, is an interview with (then city councilman) Weiner in which he admits, “I want to be sucked back into the throes of love.” Also in his Cosmo interview was an explanation that his “first lady” would have to be “smarter than me.” That much he managed to accomplish. His wife, Huma Abedin, is a top aide to Hillary Clinton.

Weiner, 31 at the time, was featured in the magazine under a headline that reads, “The Future President?” We certainly hope Weiner held onto a copy of the 1996 issue. If anything, it’s unlikely that “gorgeous real-life bachelor” is a title he’s apt to receive again.
