By the year 2030, a mere 19 years from now, hotels could fulfill your wildest dreams. Really.
Budget hotel chain Travelodge, reports The Telegraph, has published a study about how technology could change hotel accommodation by 2030. According to Ian Pearson, the engineer and futurologist who produced the report, hotels could realistically control dreams and allow patrons to study or learn new languages while they doze off.
“Video, audio, smells and tactile experiences produced using our bed or bed linen will play a key role in helping to make our dreams feel real,” said the report.“We will be able to replay our favorite dream from a menu just like choosing a movie. Also, we will be able to link into dreams with our partner or family and friends and enjoy a shared dream experience.”

For travelers away from their partners, hotels could offer remote virtual love making facilities. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, guests can wear lenses to change how their partner looks. (Don’t worry — the partner will not know he or she has been transformed.)
Through augmented reality, hotels will be able to display programs, photographs, or paintings on any surface, greatly enhancing the facility’s aesthetics. And these features would not even be reserved to top-notch venues; many of them are inexpensive and could appear in budget hotels.
