After prodding his Friends with Benefits co-star Mila Kunis to accept a Marine Corps ball invitation, Justin Timberlake is following suit – by suiting up for a ball of his own.

Cpl. Kelsey De Santis piggybacked off the success of Sgt. Scott Moore, who suavely summoned Mila to the November event via a YouTube video. De Santis took a more playful tone in her proposal, perhaps predicting that Justin would have to say yes, given his giddiness that Kunis was invited. The Quantico, Va.-based Marine asked Justin point-blank to be her date – as six of her Martial Arts Center colleagues flanked her. And she even had a snarky comeback lined up. “If you can’t go, all I have to say is ‘Cry Me a River,’ ” she ended, referencing Timberlake’s 2002 hit.

And apparently the power of intimidation worked in De Santis’s favor. Justin couldn’t resist the invitation, even telling the press he was “flattered” by the proposal. “I don’t get asked out. Ever,” he said at a press event for Friends with Benefits. And it wasn’t due to the beefy Marines who had her back – or even because she referenced one of his songs, he joked.  “She shouted out one of my songs, which I do love when they do that, because I’m shameless,” Timberlake admitted. And after all, who can resist a woman in uniform?

Perhaps he was just jealous Mila was going to a ball of her own, while he had no date. One thing is for certain: Justin will certainly bring sexy back to the Marine Ball.
