Chaos broke out during today’s phone-hacking inquiry in the British House of Commons when a man, identified as comedian Jonnie Marbles, sprung at CEO Rupert Murdoch with a plate of white foam, Sky News reports.
Murdoch’s wife Wendi Deng and son James Murdoch immediately jumped to his side, and the hearing was briefly suspended. The Los Angeles Times reports that Deng reached out to slap the offender before police apprehended him.

“It is a far better thing that I do now than I have ever done before #splat,” the comedian tweeted. Though at first, Marbles was believed to be affiliated with advocacy group UK Uncut, the group denies any involvement with the pie incident.
The hearing has now resumed. And yes, since you were wondering, there is already a parody Twitter account involved. @MurdochCreamPie has already produced gems like “Rupert Murdoch’s face tastes like prunes mixed with sand.”
