NewsFeed’s Feifei Sun rounds up the brilliant and bizarre from this week in fashion.

First Victoria, Now David. The soccer star is the latest celebrity to design a collection for H&M. But unlike Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace and other, you know, actual designers, David Beckham is a soccer player. So why is this happening? [Vogue UK]

Tim Gunn, Please Shut Up. During an appearance on George Lopez’s show on Tuesday, the Project Runway mentor criticized Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s clothing choices (mostly pantsuits) and said, “I think she’s confused about her gender.” Ignoring the obvious sexism and idiocy in these remarks—which we hope speak for themselves—who does Gunn think he is? Tim, please leave the snide comments for your contestants. [The Gloss]

Amazing Grace. Vogue‘s creative director, Grace Coddington, has inked a reported $1.2M deal to pen her memoir. Coddington’s celebrity rose after she became the unexpected star of The September Issue, a 2009 documentary about the fashion magazine. [NYO]

When Skincare Meets Motorcycles. On Aug. 6, Kiehl’s will celebrate their second annual LifeRide for amfAR, a six-day bike trip that raises money and awareness for the AIDS foundation. But this isn’t the brand’s first venture into philanthropy. They’ve also partnered with Brad Pitt, Jeff Koons, Pharrell Williams, among other celebrities on product lines to benefit environmental and children’s charities over the last five years. [amfAR]

Pride Polish. New York’s legalization of same-sex marriage is expected to give the state an economic boost, and some retailers have already released new products for gay couples. Color Club’s new set of rainbow polish includes names like “Express Yourself,” “Dress for the Parade” and “Not Just for Kelly, Green.” [Fashionista]
