Félicitations to the French first couple.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is a proud papa to a baby girl. His wife, Carla Bruni, reportedly gave birth at around 8 p.m. local time in central Paris. Their daughter is Bruni’s second child and Sarkozy’s fourth, and is the first child to be born to a French presidential couple in office.

Bruni fiercely guarded herself from the press during her pregnancy, and NewsFeed is sure she’ll be even more private with her new daughter. In a television interview, she said she would never show a photograph of her child to the press. She admitted that she regretted letting her son Aurélien, now 11, be photographed while sightseeing in 2008.

Though we may not see pictures as baby Bruni-Sarkozy grows up, we’re certain she will have the most fashionable outfits around. Suri Cruise may even have some competition for best-dressed celebrity kid.
