Looks like she’s had her last Happy Meal.
A whistle-blowing Arizona mom has been banned from a host of McDonald’s outlets after serving up evidence of their dirty playgrounds, according to azfamily.com.
Dr. Erin Carr-Jordan, an Arizona State University professor, recorded and posted videos of trash-strewn play areas at several of the global fast food chain’s restaurants around Phoenix. She also conducted lab tests on equipment that revealed dangerous levels of bacteria.

Now it seems the McDonald’s franchisee involved doesn’t want any more hygiene help from the crusading mother of four. Its attorney has ordered her to stay away from eight of its Valley outlets with playgrounds. The corporation said it had engaged in months of “open and honest dialogue” with Carr-Jordan to address her findings. But they say the doctor wasn’t playing fair.
“It appears that recent actions by Dr. Carr-Jordan have become disruptive to the employees and customers within our franchisee’s restaurants, which prompted the letter from his attorney,” a spokesperson said.
It’s unclear what additional actions caused the legal move but not surprisingly, the professor is none too pleased at the shut out. “Rather than have someone come into the playgrounds and do the right thing and make them clean and safe, they told me not to come in anymore,” Carr-Jordan said.
However, it seems she has inspired others behind her cause, with volunteers offering to go in and swab equipment in her place. Carr-Jordan posts her findings on her website, kidsplaysafe.net.
