If you’ve spent a lot of time imagining what your life would be like as a rock star (and, c’mon, who hasn’t?), you’ve probably fantasized about days filled with parties, booze and groupies. Appointments with the cable guy and minor house repairs? Not so much.

And yet those are exactly the types of rituals that filled the days of one of the greatest musicians of all time, according to an old to-do list. The website Gottahaverockandroll.com is auctioning off John Lennon’s list, which gives some insight into the day-to-day life of the late Beatle. Among his list of tasks for that May 22 (year unknown), was an appointment with the “HBO guy” and collecting a book from one Sam Green. In reading it, you get the distinct impression that Lennon was, you know, a regular guy. (Albeit, a regular guy with terrible penmanship.)

The same website has also auctioned off Lennon’s Talisman necklace for $528,000 and his tooth for $32,000. While this is one of the more random bits of memorabilia that’s out there, it certainly is intimate yet not gross. The minimum bid for the list was set at $3000, but something tells NewsFeed it will fetch a much higher price.
