The Marni at H&M Collection launch at Lloyd Wright'€™s Sowden House on February 17, 2012 in Los Angeles, California.

Marni’s Mark. Italian fashion label Marni threw a launch party in Los Angeles last week to unveil its collection with mass retailer H&M, which goes on sale March 8. The nearly 100-piece line showcased color-blocked dresses, geometric jewelry and cutout sandals, preserving Marni founder Consuelo Castiglioni’s usual flair for layer eclectic prints and patterns—this time inspired by West African-style fabrics. Bag Lady. Though music critics universally blasted Lana Del Rey’s off-pitch Saturday Night Live performance, the fashion community can’t get enough of her. British brand Mulberry named a new satchel after Del Rey, who appears on the recent covers of British Vogue and T magazine. [Rolling Stone]

Jil Sander Back to…Jil Sander. After an eight-year hiatus, the Belgian designer is returning to design for her eponymous label. The company’s current creative director, Raf Simons, who was widely rumored to replace John Galliano at Dior, announced his plans to step down on Monday. [Fashion Week Daily]

Brains and Beauty. Supermodel turned television host Tyra Banks graduated from Harvard Business School this week. We can’t wait to hear all the business advice she’ll be doling out on America’s Next Top Model in addition to her cringe-worthy life lessons. [The Cut]

Oscar-Worthy Fashion. Who will win big at the Academy Awards this Sunday? We don’t know, but we do have a guess—or 10—about the dresses you may see on the red carpet. [TIME]
