In somewhat of a surprise move, the Beagle rose on this year’s most popular list, knocking the Yorkshire Terrier out of the number three position. We think that this heart-wrenching video might have been a factor, but in fact, the Beagle is the only breed to rank in the top 10 every year since its acceptance to the AKC registry in 1885. The Beagle is a happy pup that enjoys the company of other dogs and humans, even if it’s prone to follow its nose to mischief from time to time.
