Since today’s kids apparently can’t enjoy anything low-tech, the game of Twister is getting an update. Twister Dance ditches the mat and spinner for movable dots, an LED console and a pop-music soundtrack. Players set up their dance floor and the flashing lights guide where to put feet. According to a press release, arm and hand motions are up to the players, “allowing them to show off their individual style.”
The game, expected to hit shelves this fall, comes pre-loaded with songs by Ke$ha, Willow Smith and an exclusive Twister remix of “Till the World Ends” by Britney Spears. In addition to contributing a Twister-fied remix (whatever that means), Spears will also be featured on the packaging and appear in ads for the game.

This isn’t the first time the folks behind Twister wanted revellers to bust a move. A few years ago, Twister Moves gave each player a mat of his or her own in a mash-up of Twister and Dance Dance Revolution. The game was even available in special editions including High School Musical 2 and Hannah Montana.
If you want to show off your best Zac Efron moves, Twister Dance also works with any Mp3 player. NewsFeed won’t judge. That show’s soundtrack was catchy.
