You know how you always think you’re going to enjoy eating a festive Marshmallow Peep, but then once you start, you remember how absurdly sweet and kind of overly-manufactured it tastes? Well, try eating 25 of them. In 30 seconds. Sound impossible? Not for world-class competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi, who took on a BuzzFeed writer in a Peep-eating competition Friday.

According to RecordSetter, the organization that presided over the event, Kobayashi now holds the world record for most Peeps consumed in 30 seconds. The rules for the contest, held at BuzzFeed’s New York headquarters, were as follows: participants may drink between bites, must begin with a clear mouth, must use full-sized Peeps and must provide video evidence. That last rule proved beneficial to everyone, because the video evidence not only provides a glimpse into Kobayashi’s baffling (and perhaps nauseating) competitive eating abilities, but also features his opponent in a provocative Easter bunny costume. Though Gavon Laessig only managed to eat 4 of the sticky treats in 30 seconds, he put up a good fight.
