America has always been the undisputed king of unhealthy fast food. We have the KFC Double Down and a slew of food documentaries to prove it. But it looks like Britain is one step ahead of us in the heart-attack-in-a-box department.
Pizza Hut U.K. introduced the hot-dog stuffed crust pizza. Yes, you read that right, it’s a large 14-inch pizza with a giant hot dog folded into the crust, accompanied with mustard drizzle. Because ordering a pizza with pepperoni is so amateur.
Sadly, this caloric coma is not available in the U.S. yet. So what does this mean for America’s pride and honor? As Gizmodo eloquently puts it:
“What the hell, America? I thought we were the land of junk food? I thought we were hot dog heaven. I mean, sure, we didn’t invent pizza, but we damn sure invented Pizza Hut! Delicious but disgusting-if-you-think-about-it cuisine is what we do best.”
Any suggestions of how America can redeem its title as most unhealthy country? Come on Paula Deen, where are you when we need you the most?
