We’re guessing this will be on repeat on the President’s playlist as he gears up for election season. “I’m going in, I’m going in/And I’mma go hard, and I’mma go hard.” Dripping braggadocio and self-assuredness, the track lends itself to the image that many Obama critics (including Jimmy Kimmel, who called him a “pushover” during his roast) say he needs to project: one of conviction and, as Kimmel said, someone willing to “stick to his guns.”
Obama could even use this track on the campaign trail: “Never see me out ‘cause I live in my workplace/I’ll give you business so button up your shirt straight”—lyrics that would both cement his commitment to the job, and the promise of work for his people. He just needs to make sure he’s doing the radio-friendly edit.
