Public safety tip: Friends shouldn’t let friends shoot each other in the leg. Even if the first friend asked for it.

According to state police, 25-year-old Shawn Mossow shot his friend on Sunday in the rural town of Stockholm, New York, the Associated Press reports.

The shooting occurred after Mossow’s 24-year-old, unidentified friend from Norfolk, N.Y. repeatedly asked him to do him this favor. Apparently, the friend simply wanted to know what a gunshot wound feels like. (Hey, guess what: It hurts.)

After persistent requests, Mossow surrendered, picked up a .22-caliber rifle and aimed for his pal’s leg. The shooting ‘victim’ is expected to make a full recovery, and reactions across the interwebs are not exactly sympathetic:

Mossow is being held on $10,000 bail on a charge of reckless endangerment. The question remains: Will Mossow’s friend return the favor and bail him out?
