How’s this for zero tolerance?
Stephen Andrew Hall, of Fort Worth, Texas, was recently sentenced to 45 years in prison after having a few too many beers and a few too many DWIs.
A repeat offender, Hall received his fifth conviction for Driving While Intoxicated – and the local justice system has had enough. Last summer, Hall was caught on the road with twice the legal amount of alcohol in his system.

The local assistant district attorney told CBS: “The 45-year sentence was fitting considering his prior DWI history. [The] sentence ensures that he will not be able to drive a vehicle on our roads for a very long time.”

The 59-year-old, who asked the judge to decide his fate, will be eligible for parole after he serves a quarter of his sentence, in 11 years.
