And to think that you thought the name Blue Ivy wasn’t going to work for the daughter of singers Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Folks in the Croatian town of Hvar, however, have become quite enthralled with the baby’s name after local news stations unearthed a video that appears to show Beyoncé may have been inspired to give her daughter that name after a visit to the Adriatic Sea resort.

To honor that connection, Hvar has named Blue Ivy an honorary citizen of the town.

Beyonce and Jay-Z visited Hvar, on the Adriatic island of the same name,  in September 2011, about four months before the birth of Blue Ivy and shortly after the couple officially announced the pregnancy. In a video Beyonce shot while on the trip, she stands next to a tree wrapped in ivy and comments that she is contemplating naming her daughter Blue Ivy. “We woke up this morning, took a nice little walk, passed by this beautiful blue tree,” she says in the video. “I think it’s Blue Ivy, which would be quite appropriate!”

Hvar Mayor Pjerino Bebic reportedly sent the famous couple a letter explaining how that news has brought a tourism boom to the town, writing, “I have decided to grant your daughter the status of honorary citizen of the town.”

As a way to boost tourism even a bit more, the mayor also invited the couple—who combined have sold more than 75 million solo albums worldwide—to make a return trip to Hvar. We can only imagine that Blue Ivy would feel at home there.
