The creator of Harry Potter is planning to build a backyard playground for her children — and it looks like she pulled the imaginative design straight out of one of her books. Because really, would we expect anything less from J.K. Rowling, the author who captivated the entire world with her tales of the boy wizard for a decade?

The playground is a huge departure from the sand-and-swing-set variety; indeed, it’s more like a magical kingdom in the sky. It’s made up of two Hogwarts-style treehouses with turrets, carvings, wooden walkways, balconies, and a rope bridge. The 40-foot treehouses, which will be built in the back garden of Rowling’s Edinburgh, Scotland mansion, are so large they need planning permission, reports the Daily Mail. Building the playground will cost the famed writer roughly $232,200 (£150,000), and according to building plans lodged with the City of Edinburgh Council, the treehouses are intended for her two youngest children David, 9, and Mackenzie, 7.

Drawings of ‘David’s Tree House’ show that it can be accessed through the garden or through a ‘secret’ tunnel hidden under a raised wooden walkway, while ‘Kenzie’s Tree House’ has a spiral staircase and a stainless steel slide leading to a double set of swings. Luxury treehouse makers Blue Forest UK designed the playground for Rowling’s children and will reportedly build them only with timber from sustainably-managed forests.

We’ve never wanted to be a kid again so much.
