Vice President Joe Biden's talks to customers during a stop at Cruisers Diner, Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, in Seaman, Ohio.
When the Vice President was glad-handing his way through the Buckeye State in early September on the campaign trail, he swung by the Cruisers Diner in southern Ohio. Inside he chatted up customers, including a group of motorcycle enthusiasts clad in black leather vests and bandanas. According to Politico, when Biden noticed a biker woman with no place to sit, he offered her one — basically, on his lap. The chummy vice president put his hands on her shoulders and let the photographers snap away.
A picture is worth a thousand words, of course, and by all appearances the other bikers at his table may not have found the Vice President’s behavior towards one of their own totally chivalrous. But fast-forward a few months and Ohio voted in favor of the Democratic ticket. Coincidence? Probably. But a little Biden goes a long way.
