Not only is it one of William’s middle names (along with Louis and Arthur) but Prince Philip is his beloved grandfather. The 91-year-old’s recent ill health (he was admitted to hospital during his wife’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June 2012 and was back in hospital a couple of months later) may in fact influence William and Kate to name their child in his honor — and ensure his name continues for many decades to come.
