Jamie Foxx is no stranger to sketch comedy — he began his comedy career as a cast member on In Living Color. So he was perfectly comfortable performing in the majority of the night’s sketches and delivering an energetic monologue — complete with some singing at the SNL piano. Though his jokes — likes the ones about Barack Obama’s “whiteness” versus his “blackness” — weren’t necessarily super original, Foxx’s energy and commitment kept the monologue engaging and entertaining.
