SNL cast member Taran Killam kicked off the episode as CNN TV host Piers Morgan, interviewing the key figures in the past week’s pop culture landscape. He spoke, of course, with the two men at the center of recent scandals: Lance Armstrong and Manti Te’o. Armstrong (played by Jason Sudeikis) gave a halfhearted apology for the doping he admitted to this week: “Am I sorry I did it? Yes… ish,” and then after a pause, “P.S. No.” But perhaps the best bit came when Morgan began his interview with Te’o — played by Bobby Moynihan in a wide-eyed, hilarious way. The scene’s other notable impersonation came from Katie McKinnon as Jodie Foster, who spoke candidly with Morgan about her attention-grabbing Golden Globes speech.
