One of the undisputed legends of the 1980s has finally joined the 21st century.

Mr. T, who played B.A. Baracus in the hit television series The A-Team and Clubber Lang in the 1982 film Rocky III, has launched a Twitter account to offer his unique words of wisdom and plug his new Youtube show “Ask Mr. T.”

“There’s too much jibba jabba on @Twitter for @MrT to deal with! I’m joking. Mr. T can deal with anything,” he tweeted on Tuesday.

Describing himself as “Footballer, wrestler, soldier, bouncer, bodyguard, actor & astronaut. Professional pitier of fools,” the 60-year-old already boasts more than 25,000 followers. “Welcome to Twitter! Just to warn you I sometimes tweet at lot! My best, Bill,” tweeted actor William Shatner.

Born Laurence Tureaud, Mr. T has just launched his own comedy TV show on BBC Three in the U.K. called “The World’s Craziest Fools” in which he tracks down “dumb drivers, stupid soldiers, brainless builders and silly sportsmen.”

After working as a wrestler and military policeman, the Chicago native became a nightclub bouncer and then bodyguard for well-known personalities such as Muhammad Ali, Steve McQueen, Michael Jackson, Leon Spinks, Joe Frazier and Diana Ross.

His acting career was launched after he was spotted by Sylvester Stallone taking part in NBC’s “America’s Toughest Bouncer” competition and cast in Rocky III. It was during his role as Clubber Lang that the infamous phase “pity the fool” was coined, when Lang was asked by a journalist if he hated Rocky Balboa.

And if a catchphrase is good, it’s worth repeating more than three decades later. “Mr. T never hates a fool for being a fool, he just pities them,” he tweeted.
