The artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg has released a music video for his new anti-gun song on Wednesday, featuring Drake and Snoop’s daughter Cori B.

No Guns Allowed is a track off his forthcoming reggae album, Reincarnated, which offers a message of non-violence, Rolling Stone reported.

In a clip from the artist’s new documentary of the same title, Snoop explains the track and his daughter’s involvement in as an attempt to set things right with his family after his earlier life — including drug arrests and brushes with gang violence — put them in danger, according to Salon.

Snoop told Piers Morgan in early March that he was inspired by the recent string of mass shootings in places like Aurora, Colo. and Newtown, Conn:

“It affected me to where I wanted to say something and I wanted to make some music to try to help the next person who was thinking about loading a gun, going into a school and then shooting and maybe helping him put that gun down and think about what he was doing or what she was doing before they did that.”

Last July, the artist changed both his music style (from rap to reggae) and his stage name (from Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion) during a trip to Jamaica, where his new name was bestowed upon him by a Rastafarian High Priest.

Snoop Lion’s Reincarnated film is currently in theaters and available on iTunes starting April 16.  The album drops April 23.
