Martha Stewart's profile on the dating website Match.com

While Martha Stewart may be the original domestic diva, there’s one thing missing from her empire of domesticity: someone to share it with. On the TODAY Show Monday, Stewart announced she was joining the online dating website Match.com.

Who is Stewart’s perfect match? That remains to be seen, but according to her profile, she describes herself as “entrepreneurial,” calls her politics “very liberal,” and ticks off predictable interests such as cooking, fishing, gardening, landscaping, movies, videos, museums, antiquing, dining out, and travel:

“So while I’m open to all kinds of people, and love to be surprised, here’s what I know I appreciate in a man: Someone who’s intelligent, established, and curious; and who relishes adventure and new experiences as much as I do. Someone who can teach me new things. A lover of animals, grandchildren, and the outdoors. Young at heart.”

Now you can help Stewart choose a new photo for the profile. Martha Stewart Living’s Facebook page posted two glamour shots of the media mogul Tuesday evening and asked fans to vote for their favorite one in the comments section, Entertainment Weekly reports.

On the TODAY Show, Stewart said she decided to give Match.com a chance after seeing several of her employees land successful dates on the Internet. In fact, her nephew, Dan Slater, author of the book “Love in the Time of Algorithms,” also appeared on the TODAY segment, in addition to Match.com’s chief executive Sam Yagan. Yagan actually recommended that Stewart not use her name or photos or list any identifying details, arguing that it would make it more difficult to meet eligible bachelors. “I think it would be distracting to those initial conversations you have where everyone is going to be about talking to Martha as opposed to really getting to know the person first,” he told her on TODAY. So while she decided to use her real name anyway, she hopes Mr. Right will value her “adventurous spirit” more than her fame and money.
