In the music video for “Smooth Criminal,” the King of Pop wowed viewers with his ability to lean really far forward and freeze there. Well if you ever tried to imitate that move, you might fall flat on your face because Jackson patented a pair of shoes specially designed for “creating an anti-gravity illusion” live on stage. These loafers had moveable heels that would fit into the stage so that dancers could lean forward seemingly beyond their center of gravity.
