Sometimes, justice just needs a little nudge. But rarely does it come from the person being held to account for his crimes, CNN reports.

Just a week after posting a video online confessing to killing Vincent Canzani, 22-year-old Matthew Cordle has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol by a Franklin County, Ohio, grand jury.

The confession came more than two months after Cordle allegedly got behind the wheel after a night of heavy drinking and went barreling in the wrong direction down I-670, colliding with Canzani, 61, a father and US Navy veteran, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

If convicted of the crimes to which he has confessed Cordle faces a maximum sentence of eight and a half years in prison.
