The former U.S. president has mastered the art of the selfie. On Tuesday, he tweeted one with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, which he snapped during the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meeting in New York City. Gates originally posted the image last night on Twitter and said the two were doing an interview with Wired when they decided to snap the picture.

Clinton made his Twitter debut during a special edition of The Colbert Report. He had told host Stephen Colbert that he didn’t want to join the social network because he was afraid he would tweet and “no one would tweet back.” Well, he doesn’t have to worry about that now because this photo has already racked up more than 1,400 retweets and 900 favorites — not to mention the leader boasts more than 1.1 million followers.

Bill seems to be the last in his family to catch on to the selfie craze. Hillary and daughter Chelsea tweeted their first mother-daughter shot back in June.
