In an almost perfectly spot-on parody of HBO’s buzziest show, Tina Fey played a grizzled Albanian refugee who has joined the Girls girls in Brooklyn. New cast member Noel Wells nailed it with her pouty impersonation of Lena Dunham’s Hannah Horvath, and Vanessa Bayer also dazzled as Zosia Mamet’s fast-talking Shoshanna. But, of course, the real star here was Fey, who brought some much-needed Eastern European intensity. Upon learning about Hannah’s OCD, Fey’s character, Blerta, reveals that she has OCD too — “old cow disease. It’s when old cow bites you and disease infects the skin. It’s why I have rubber hand.” Bonus: She later uses that rubber hand to slap some sense into Shoshanna.
