Toronto Mayor Rob Ford leaves his home on May 17, 2013.
This week was not a good time to be named Rob Ford. A few Twitter users found that out the hard way after they were inundated with angry tweets meant for the disgraced mayor of Toronto. The 140-character bursts of vitriol ranged from calls to resign to questions about crack pipes, the Toronto Star reports.
Our favorite response to the unwanted attention came from a Professor Rob Ford from the University of Manchester in the U.K., who politely tweeted “I am not him. I am much more boring.”
My Twitter is blowing up… the mayor of Toronto must be up to some shenanigans again.
