Video footage from South Africa’s Kruger National Park is a constant reminder of why it is always a bad idea to mess with the water buffalo.
First there was 2007’s uber-viral “Battle of Kruger” video, in which a team of water buffalo fought off crocodiles and lions who were going after a calf, and now there’s this gem in which a protective buffalo flings a lion 5 meters (16 ft.) in the air for trying to eat his friend.
You mess with the water buffalo, you get the horns.
