If you don’t have HBO (or your parents can’t figure out the password you need so you can mooch off their HBO GO account), no problem. You can still watch the season three premiere of Girls, for free.

The network uploaded the two-part premiere to its YouTube channel on Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. EST. This makes it very convenient for the show’s young, Internet-dwelling fans.

“For us, this is an increasingly challenging demographic to reach with traditional means,” Sabrina Caluori, HBO’s vice-president of social media and marketing, told Mashable. That explains why the network has implemented a “social first” marketing strategy. (See the Girls Snapchat account and the Game of Thrones Vine feed, for example.)

And indeed, it does make sense to put the first two episodes of Girls‘ third season on YouTube, because really, where else would Hannah and her crew watch it?
