Kareem Collins needed a woman. But instead of firing up Tinder or heading to his local watering hole, he called 911. Collins didn’t get a woman, but he did get arrested.

While the mis-use of 911 is normally frowned upon, it turns out that Collins was a convicted sex offender who had failed to notify police of his new address, and it was his 911 call that alerted them.

According to a news release from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Collins called 911 on Saturday night and told dispatchers he “needed a woman.” When cops responded to the call, they ran Collins’ criminal history and discovered that Collins was a non-compliant convicted sex offender, who had failed to notify authorities when he moved from New Orleans to Slidell, LA.

“Our would-be Romeo had failed to contact the proper authorities when he moved from New Orleans to Slidell – a big no-no for convicted sex offenders,” said authorities in a news release.

He was brought to the parish jail and arrested on charges of failure to register for a change of address.
