Everyone, meet Ernest Moniz, the current U.S. Secretary of Energy. He was also last night’s State of the Union “designated survivor” — the cabinet member who skips the address and assumes the role of President should the unthinkable happen.
He’s a highly accomplished nuclear physicist, but he’s best known for his unique hairstyle. It has earned him comparisons to Javier Bardem’s character in No Country for Old Men, which is pretty spot on. Also on the short list: Oscar Wilde, Ben Franklin and George Washington. (All of those comparisons are pretty major compliments, by the way, so he should feel honored.)
