In a move that once again reminds us that President Obama is entirely hip with the kids, he’s converted his Facebook page to the new Timeline format. The President’s new Facebook Timeline invites people to take a walk down memory lane in Obama’s life, viewing key moments and milestones from both his presidency and his personal accomplishments and memories.
The format also allows Obama’s 2012 campaign staff (who run the page) to establish the issues that matter to the president most. The first thing to greet a visitor to Obama’s page is a large cover photo of a graph highlighting Obama’s job creation record, emphasizing his current focus on reviving the economy.
Scrolling through the timeline reveals many interesting photos from life in the White House and on the road, plus videos and links to his recent speeches or administration achievements. Some of the most interesting tidbits, however, are pieces of information the staff filled in from earlier on in his life: his first job, the births of his children, and when the Obama finally paid off their student loans.
