Despite selling more than 80 million copies of The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown has been named the U.K.’s “most unwanted author.”
Oxfam, Europe’s largest high street retailer of second-hand books and Britain’s third biggest bookseller, has revealed that unwanted copies of Angels & Demons and The Lost Symbol have pushed Brown to the top of its most donated authors list. Apparently keeping old copies of books that explore Opus Dei is no longer in fashion. Other authors cracking the Top 10 are John Grisham (A Time To Kill), Danielle Steele (Family Ties) and J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter). Despite having a large presence on Oxfam’s shelves, Brown only placed 10th on Oxfam’s best-seller list.
