Among the many things that women envy Kate Middleton for are her style, her poise and her husband. It may be time to add one more thing to that list: her nose.
According to the New York Daily News, young women in New York and Long Island are flocking to the plastic surgeon’s office like it’s a spring sale at Barneys to get the Duchess of Cambridge’s sniffer.
Thomas Romo, the director of facial plastic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, estimated that he has already performed 100 Kate Middleton nose jobs for $10,000 to $12,000 per procedure, the Daily News reported.
Romo believes the Duchess’s nose is popular with patients who are seeking a “natural” look. “Women, especially over the age of 28, want the nose of a woman who is regal, refined and strong,” he said.

One hopeful client, secretary Johanna Ricardi, told the New York Daily News: “It’s just this cute, little perky nose. It’s not too big. It’s not too small. It will pretty much suit any type of face.”
Manhattan plastic surgeon Stephen Greenberg reportedly has 20 patients scheduled to get the “royal rhinoplasty” over the next month – at a slightly cheaper price tag of $7,000 each, the British edition of The Week reported.
In 2012, there were 14.6 million cosmetic plastic surgery procedures performed in the U.S., a 5% increase from 2011, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Americans reportedly spent $11 billion on cosmetic surgery last year.

With that kind of money on the table, surgeons in New York who have noticed the royal rhinoplasty trend are being proactive, the New York Daily News noted. Doctors like Greenberg have created a file of Kate Middleton photographs to show patients during their consultations.
New Yorkers are not alone. Women in the U.K. are also requesting a Middleton nose job, which, according to data released by the Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group last year, is the most requested celebrity facial feature.
The popularity for the royal nose comes as the Duchess, who is five months pregnant, reportedly said at a St. Patrick’s Day ceremony that she would like a boy while her husband Prince William wants a girl. The royal couple are expecting their first child in July, who will be third in line to the British throne.
